VERO BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ Charlie O'Brien hit a three-run homer as the Montreal Expos beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-5 Sunday in steady rain.

Montreal removed starters Vladimir Guerrero, Rondell White and Lee Stevens in the bottom of the second inning, not wanting to risk injuries in wet conditions.

Wilton Guerrero, Fernando Seguignol, Mike Mordecai and Orlando Cabrera each had two hits for the Expos, who outhit Los Angeles 15-13.

Mordecai, a utility infielder who had played just 15 games at first base in his career, replaced Stevens at first base in the second inning.

F.P. Santangelo went 4-for-5 for Los Angeles, and Dave Hansen and Shawn Green homered. The Dodgers are 4-13, the worst spring record in the major leagues.

Montreal starter Dustin Hermanson, scheduled to start the Expos' season opener against the Dodgers on April 3, allowed three runs and six hits in four innings for the win.

Dodgers starter Chan Ho Park gave up four runs and seven hits in four innings, and Los Angeles reliever Alan Mills gave up four runs in two innings _ although just one run was earned.

Todd Hundley went 2-for-2 for the Dodgers.

Notes: The Dodgers optioned RHP Jamie Arnold, C Angel Pena and OF Kevin Gibbs to Triple-A Albuquerque. The Dodgers also reassigned LHP Rick DeHart and OF Brent Cookson to their minor league camp.
