BOX SCORE
VERO BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ Todd Hollandsworth, competing with Devon White for the starting job in center field, hit a grand slam in the seventh inning Friday to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 6-5 victory over the Houston Astros. Hollandsworth, who started for the injured Gary Sheffield in left, went 3-for-4 with the grand slam off Scott Elarton. The Dodgers, 7-16 this spring, were shut down early by Shane Reynolds while Houston scored five early runs against Chan Ho Park. The Dodgers finally got to Reynolds in the fifth when White and Eric Karros hit solo home runs to cut Houston's lead to 5-2. Reynolds, who will be Houston's opening-day starter for the fifth straight year, allowed nine hits and two runs in six innings while walking one and striking out three. Park gave up five hits and five runs in five innings while walking one and striking out two. Glen Barker and Moises Alou each hit solo homers for the Astros, who were held hitless over the final four innings by Terry Adams, Gregg Olson and Jeff Shaw.
