PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) _ Left-hander Shawn Estes, out of the rotation since March 8 with shoulder inflammation, pitched four innings to earn the victory as the San Francisco Giants beat the San Diego Padres 7-5 on Tuesday.

Estes allowed three runs _ two earned _ and five hits. Estes had pitched in one minor league game and one intrasquad game to tune up for his return.

Rich Aurilia went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and three RBIs for the Giants.

Aurilia had an RBI double off right-hander Brian Boehringer in the second, an RBI single in the third and a solo home run off right-hander Brian Meadows in the fifth. J.T. Snow was 2-for-4 and scored twice.

Boehringer also has battled shoulder problems. He had season-ending arthroscopic surgery last August to repair a partially torn rotator cuff and missed two weeks this spring when soreness flared.

Tuesday marked his second start since he was sidelined, and he allowed six runs, five earned, on six hits and four walks in three innings.

Meadows went five innings in relief and allowed one run and four hits.

San Diego's Ryan Klesko was 2-for-4, including his fourth home run in three days, with two RBIs and two runs. Eric Owens was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Notes: Padres right fielder Tony Gwynn missed the game because of tightness in his back, and left fielder Al Martin was a late scratch when he was called away to meet with his lawyer. Martin faces misdemeanor charges of assault and making threats against a woman in Scottsdale, Ariz.
