KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) _ Dave Burba pitched five scoreless innings and Jolbert Cabrera went 5-for-5 with an RBI on Wednesday, leading the Cleveland Indians to a 3-2 win over the Houston Astros' Triple-A New Orleans team.

The Astros unofficially broke their Florida training camp on Tuesday, sending the majority of their roster to Houston for a practice and tour of new Enron Field before Thursday's inaugural game against the New York Yankees.

They left a few major league pitchers behind to face the Indians.

Burba opened the spring as the Indians' No. 3 starter, but a strained hamstring dropped him to No. 5. The right-hander allowed five hits, walked one and struck out three.

Cabrera, trying to win a spot on the Indians' 25-man roster as a utility player, doubled and tripled. He played 30 games for Cleveland last season.

Cleveland's Jacob Cruz collected his seventh consecutive hit in the second inning with a double off loser Shane Reynolds. Including a pair of walks, Cruz reached base nine straight times before grounding out to first in the third.

Adam Everett had a pair of doubles for the Astros.

Paul Shuey, competing for the Indians' closer's job with Steve Karsay, gave up two runs and three hits as he continues to struggle this spring.

Ricardo Rincon pitched a scoreless eighth and Steve Reed went the ninth for his first save.

Reynolds gave up three runs and nine hits, walked two and struck out four. '

Notes: Indians GM John Hart said both Cruz and Alex Ramirez will be on Cleveland's opening day roster. Both players shuffled between Triple-A Buffalo and the Indians last season and were out of options. ... Indians center fielder Kenny Lofton will be in Birmingham, Ala., on Thursday to visit Dr. James Andrews, who repaired the torn rotator cuff in Lofton's left shoulder this winter. Lofton has recovered more quickly than anyone anticipated and is 5-for-9 with four runs scored in three games at DH. He will join the team in Atlanta on Saturday and may get his first start in center when the Indians play the Braves.
