LAS VEGAS (Ticker) -- Frank Menechino doubled twice and drove in two runs and Matt Stairs and Eric Chavez had two RBI apiece as the Oakland Athletics posted a 9-5 triumph over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Gil Heredia was impressive in his final tuneup before the regular season, allowing three hits over five scoreless innings. Heredia walked two and struck out three in his finest outing of the spring.

Armando Reynoso started for Arizona and was hammered for seven runs, two earned, in 1 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out three.

Greg Colbrunn doubled and homered for the Diamondbacks, who pounded out 13 hits.

Arizona does not begin its regular season until Tuesday, when it hosts Philadelphia. Oakland hosts Detroit on Monday night.
