GAME LOG
MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- One night after playing a 16-inning marathon, the Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros could not endure the rain and had their game postponed. Umpires waited nearly two hours before postponing the contest, which will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday at 1:05 p.m. EDT. Tonight's scheduled starters, Octavio Dotel for Houston and Steve Woodard for Milwaukee will pitch Game One on Thursday. In their longest game since moving to the National League in 1998, the Brewers squandered golden opportunities in the 13th and 14th innings before Roger Cedeno dropped what would have been a sure sacrifice fly by Henry Blanco in deep right field in the 16th to give Milwaukee a 6-5 win Tuesday. The game lasted five hours and 39 minutes.
