ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) _ Fred McGriff hit a two-run walkoff homer to lead the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Angels on Wednesday night.

McGriff hit a 1-2 pitch from Troy Percival over the right-field wall as the Angels relinquished a two-run ninth-inning lead.

Percival (4-3), who blew his fourth save of the season, allowed Jose Guillen's leadoff homer. Greg Vaughn followed with an infield single, but immediately left after apparently aggravating a right hamstring strain that kept him out of 10 of the last 17 games.

Mike Difelice came in to pinch run for Vaughn, and McGriff followed with his 12th homer of the season. McGriff has four homers and 11 RBIs against Anaheim in nine games this season.

Tampa Bay starter Albie Lopez (3-4) gave up two runs and seven hits in his second career complete game and first win as a starter since May 22, 1997. His only other complete game came on August 4, 1994, while pitching for Cleveland against Detroit.

Tampa Bay's three-run ninth blew an impressive outing by Brian Cooper, who gave up five hits, struck out four and walked one in eight scoreless innings. Cooper has allowed four earned runs or less in each of his 10 major league starts.

Scott Spiezio snapped a scoreless tie in the sixth inning with a leadoff homer. Bengie Molina hit a solo homer for the second consecutive game in the seventh, making it 2-0.

The Angels have homered 79 times in the past 45 games, while Tampa Bay has been outhomered 53-30 at home.

Cooper allowed just two singles through four innings. Bubba Trammell opened the Devil Rays' fifth with a double, but was left stranded as Cooper retired the next three hitters.

Trammell, who went 3-for-3, was also left stranded at second in the seventh. The Devil Rays went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

After working out of jams in the first and second innings, Lopez allowed just one base runner the next three innings.

The Tampa Bay right-hander struck out Darin Erstad, who entered with an AL-best .380 batting average, Mo Vaughn and Tim Salmon twice each. Lopez finished with a season-high seven strike outs and walked one.

Notes: Erstad went 0-for-4 and had his average drop five points to 375. ... Anaheim's Troy Glaus grounded out 4-6-3 in the seventh inning. After fielding the grounder behind second base, 2B Miguel Cairo flipped the ball to SS Felix Martinez, who threw Glaus out at first. ... The Devil Rays placed 3B Vinny Castilla (lower back) on the 15-day disabled list. ... Tampa Bay CF Gerald Williams (strained left hip flexor) was out of the starting lineup for the second straight game. ... Anaheim 2B Adam Kennedy is 14-for-27 (.538) with one homer and seven RBIs batting eighth this season.
