Brewers bring Eric Thames off DL

The Milwaukee Brewers activated first baseman Eric Thames off the disabled list on Monday.

Thames had been out since late April with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb. He is not listed in the starting lineup for the Brewers' series opener against the visiting Chicago Cubs.

Through 22 games, Thames had seven home runs, 13 RBIs and a slash line of .250/.351/.625.

In a corresponding move, the Brewers sent right-handed pitcher Brandon Woodruff to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
