Atlanta Braves catcher Kurt Suzuki is scheduled for a CT scan Wednesday after being hit by a pitch near his left elbow Tuesday night in Pittsburgh.
Suzuki, who had a single, a double and two runs scored in a 6-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates, left the game in the top of the ninth inning after being hit by Pirates right-hander Clay Holmes.
He had X-rays after the game, but the Braves did not say what they showed.
Suzuki, 34, is hitting .261 this season with nine home runs and 39 RBIs for the first-place Braves.
