Tyron Woodley to fight Leon Edwards in London on March 21

A highly ranked welterweight bout between Leon Edwards and former champion Tyron Woodley will headline UFC Fight Night on March 21 in London, per UFC president Dana White.

Contracts have not been signed but both fighters have agreed to the matchup. The bout will take place at O2 Arena and air on ESPN+.

It's a huge opportunity for Edwards (18-3), who fights out of Birmingham, England, and is riding an eight-fight win streak. His last loss came against current champion Kamaru Usman via unanimous decision in December 2015.

Woodley (19-4-1) will look to get back on track after losing his title to Usman last March. Prior to the loss, Woodley, who trains out of St. Louis and Milwaukee, had had defended his title three times against Stephen Thompson, Demian Maia and Darren Till.
