Uriah Hall's string of bad luck has continued.
The surging UFC middleweight is once again without a high-profile opponent. Yoel Romero has withdrawn from the scheduled co-main event bout with Hall at UFC Fight Night: Edgar vs. Munhoz on Aug. 22, sources confirmed to ESPN. Romero has an undisclosed injury, sources said.

Hall was supposed to fight another top middleweight, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, twice in the spring. The first time, the card was canceled due to the coronavirus. The second time, Souza tested positive for COVID-19 during UFC 249 fight week May 8 and was forced to withdraw. It's unclear if Hall will remain on the Aug. 22 card against a new opponent.
Hall (15-9) has won two straight and three of his past four. The Jamaica native, who grew up in New York and now trains out of Fortis MMA in Dallas, has been looking to move into the upper echelon of 185-pound fighters in the UFC. Hall, 36, is known for his highlight-reel knockouts. He has 12 finishes in 15 career wins.
Romero (13-5) has lost three straight and four of five, but all against elite middleweights. The Cuba native, who lives and trains in Florida, is coming off a tight, unanimous-decision loss to UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in the UFC 248 main event March 7. Romero, 43, is ranked No. 4 by ESPN among MMA middleweights in the world.
UFC Fight Night on Aug. 22 will be headlined by a bantamweight fight between former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and the heavy-handed Pedro Munhoz.
