We've passed the halfway point of the NBA season, and the highly touted 2021 draft class has lived up to expectations.

Not only are the No. 1-caliber picks such as Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley and Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham producing for their respective teams, but two surprise second-round draft picks are also rising up the rankings. With three months remaining in the regular season, one player has emerged as the Rookie of the Year favorite, but several candidates are in position to overtake him for the top spot.
