The Charlotte Hornets have picked up the option for next season on general manager Rich Cho's contract, according to league sources.
Sources told ESPN.com that the Hornets recently activated the 2017-18 in Cho's existing deal.
The Hornets were eliminated from the Eastern Conference playoff chase last week, unable to overcome the respective injury absences of big men Cody Zeller and Frank Kaminsky earlier this season and ultimately punished for their 0-9 record in games decided by three points or less.
The Michael Jordan-owned Hornets have made the playoffs twice in coach Steve Clifford's four seasons, winning 43 games in 2013-14 and 48 last season before this season's slump to 36-44 entering Monday's play.
