NBA, Men's College Basketball, NBA Draft, Utah Utes

Utah standout forward Kyle Kuzma told ESPN he has signed with Priority Sports and will forgo his final year of college eligibility in order to stay in the NBA draft.

The 6-foot-9 Flint, Michigan, native averaged a team-high 16.4 points and 9.3 rebounds this past season. He earned all-first team Pac-12 honors. He also will graduate this year.

"I decided to leave school now because of the benefits it will give to my development, both on and off the floor," Kuzma told ESPN. "Utah was a great place for me to grow, and Coach K [Larry Krystkowiak] and the staff definitely had a major role in that for me."

If Kuzma gets selected in the first round of the draft, it would be the third consecutive season the Utes will have had a player drafted in the first 30 overall picks. Delon Wright went 20th in 2015, and Jakob Poeltl was taken ninth a year ago.

Kuzma told ESPN he will attend next week's NBA combine.
