Thumbs-up: Hornets say additional testing shows no break for Malik Monk

Three days after suffering a broken thumb, Charlotte Hornets guard Malik Monk has been told it's actually not that bad.

The Hornets announced Tuesday that additional testing showed no break in Monk's right thumb.

Monk, 20, was injured during Friday's summer league game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he is considered day-to-day.

The No. 11 overall pick by Charlotte in last year's NBA draft, Monk averaged 6.7 points and 1.4 assists in 63 games as a rookie.
