Goran Dragic expected to miss 8 weeks after knee scope

NBA, Miami Heat

Miami Heat guard Goran Dragic is expected to miss eight weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Wednesday, the team announced.

The targeted return for Dragic is the All-Star break in February. The league's All-Star Game is Feb. 17.

Dragic missed 12 of the Heat's past 14 games with his troublesome right knee, during which time he had fluid drained from it. One source described Wednesday's procedure as a "cleaning up."

Dragic, 32, was averaging 15.3 points and 4.9 assists in 14 games this season.
