Minnesota Timberwolves guard Derrick Rose underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to remove bone chips from his right elbow, the team said Saturday.
Rose will be sidelined indefinitely, the team said in a statement. Thursday the Timberwolves said Rose was expected to miss the remainder of the season.
The 30-year-old has missed the team's past five games, all losses.
Rose averaged 18 points and 4.3 assists this season.
