Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez earned the nickname "Splash Mountain" because of his seven-foot stature, range from beyond-the-arc and enthusiasm for the Disney theme park ride with the same name.

So it should come as no surprise that Lopez decided to celebrate a significant life event earlier this week at one of the parks in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Lopez got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Hailee Strickland at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park on Monday.

The proposal, which took place in front of the Tree of Life, was lined up 13 years to the day after the couple first met at the park.

After the Bucks won the 2021 NBA championship, each player got to spend time with the Larry O'Brien trophy the following summer. Lopez took the trophy to Splash Mountain, so it only made sense that he would celebrate another momentous occasion at one of his favorite locations.

Lopez and Strickland began their night at Tiffins Restaurant in in the park before an engagement photo shoot at the site of the proposal with Strickland donning special mouse ears.
