MILWAUKEE -- When Anthony Davis started the recent tear he's been on -- averaging 32.9 points, 15.4 rebounds and 2.9 blocks in his last eight games -- he credited his beloved Green Bay Packers with igniting something inside him. It was fitting that Davis turned things up a notch with a couple of his favorite Packers in attendance for the Los Angeles Lakers' 133-129 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. Davis scored a season-high 44 points on 18-for-27 shooting along with 10 rebounds and three blocks. He said that Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers fueled him before tipoff. "You guys know how I feel about the Pack and him," Davis said of Rodgers afterward. "So, I saw him before the game. He was like, 'AD, man, I'm going to need 30 tonight.' And then I just saw him [after the game], he said, 'I only said 30. Not 40.' So, it's always good for him to come out and watch the Lakers play, watch me play. He's a fan [of me] just how I'm a fan of his." Davis chatted with Rodgers and Green Bay wide receiver Randall Cobb in a hallway inside Fiserv Forum just before sitting down for his postgame news conference. When several L.A.-based reporters popped their heads outside the conference room to see what was holding Davis up, the Lakers big man pointed out the reporters to Rodgers and Cobb as a group who have "talked a lot of s---" to Davis all season about the Packers' woes. As Davis said his goodbyes to Rodgers and Cobb, he wished them luck the rest of the season -- starting with the Chicago Bears on Sunday. He then entered into the postgame interview room to talk about the biggest win of the Lakers' season. Before leaving the dais to head to the locker room to change for the team's flight to Washington D.C., Davis had one last message for the reporters assembled. "Go Pack Go," he said.
