KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Chris Mihm had 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Texas held Colorado to 18 percent shooting as the Longhorns routed the Buffaloes 78-35 in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament Friday night.

Colorado suffered the worst loss in Big 12 tournament's four-year history, surpassing Nebraska's 91-59 defeat to Kansas in 1998. It was also the fewest points scored by a losing team in tournament history. Oklahoma State fell 53-37 to Kansas last year.

Colorado had 12 field goals, tying the school record for the fewest in a game. The Buffs (18-13) were 12-of-66 from the field, missed all 11 of their 3-point attempts, started the game 0-for-10 and at one point were 1-for-15 in the first half.

The 7-foot Mihm, getting his 18th double-double of the season, helped the Longhorns force the Buffs out of their offense as Texas (23-7) advanced to play either No. 15 Oklahoma or Missouri in the semifinals Saturday.

Mihm finished with five of Texas' 11 blocked shots in the game.

The Longhorns started slowly, leading only 10-7 midway through the first half, but Gabe Muoneke got the offense started with his fluid inside moves and finished with 15 points.

Jaquay Walls had 13 points for the Buffaloes.

Colorado, which frequently failed to hit the rim in the first half, got its first basket with 13 minutes to play in the half when Jamahl Mosley finally hit a jumper.

But then Texas, which has limited opponents to 38.9 percent shooting from the field this season, began to pull away behind Muoneke to win for the sixth time in seven games and for the 12th time in the last 14.

Texas finished the first half with a 16-4 run that included a dunk by Mihm on a breakaway. Mihm then squared up at the top of the key to hit a 3-pointer to make it 30-13 with 2:45 to play before halftime.

Lawrence William' 3-pointer seconds before the buzzer gave Texas a 39-15 lead at the half.

Colorado's first shot of the second half hit the side of the backboard, the Buffs missed their second shot and Walls missed a dunk on the third shot. The fourth shot was an air ball on a turnaround jumper by Mosley.
