HONOLULU (AP) -- Robert O'Kelley was it his best with the game on the line.

O'Kelley, held to one point in the first half and six in the second, had 10 in two overtime periods as No. 19 Wake Forest beat Ohio 84-78 on Wednesday in the consolation round of the Rainbow Classic.

"Robert did not have a good scoring night, but he got 10 big points in the two overtimes," said coach Dave Odom, whose team struggled for the second straight night. In the opening round, the Demon Deacons (9-2) dropped a 67-66 decision to Oregon.

"It was a difficult game to play because of the negative residue from last night's game."

Kelley was 6-for-19 from the field, and Chris Dawson was 3-for-10. But Dawson put the Demon Deacons ahead for good in the second OT, and O'Kelley iced it with a basket and two more from the charity line.

"We were trying to get Dawson untracked," Odom said.

Ohio (7-5) was coming off a 83-55 loss to Gonzaga.

"I'm proud of how we responded after the beating we took last night," coach Larry Hunter said. "I thought we deserved a better fate."

Josh Howard also had 17 points for the Demon Deacons, Darius Songaila added 12 before fouling out, and Dawson finished with 11.

Shaun Stonerook led the Bobcats (7-5) with 24 points and 17 rebounds. He fouled out with three minutes left in the second overtime.

The Demon Deacons had a pair of nine-point leads in the first half, but Anthony Jones scored six points and Stonerook had four as the Bobcats narrowed the gap to one at 30-29 at halftime.

Steve Esterkamp scored eight points and Shaun McVicker had four during a 16-4 run that gave Ohio a 56-54 lead in the second half.
