NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Jamaal Magloire scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for his fourth straight double-double as Kentucky (No. 25 ESPN/USA Today, unranked AP) beat Missouri 70-53 in the Sugar Bowl Basketball Classic Thursday night.

Magloire is the first Wildcat to reel off four straight double-doubles since Reggie Hanson did it 10 years ago.

It was also the fourth victory in a row for Kentucky (8-4).

Kentucky wore down the shorter Tigers, outshooting them 48 percent to 31 percent for the game. Missouri (7-4), which was coming off a nine-day layoff -- appeared to have shaken off its early season shooting problems in its upset of Illinois last game out, but made just 18 of 58 against Kentucky, including sinking only 7 of 26 from 3-point range.

Tayshaun Prince and Keith Bogans each scored 12 points for Kentucky, J.P. Blevins added 13.

Keyon Dooling led Missouri with 19 points. Jeff Hafer hit for 12 and Clarence Gilbert had 11.

In the first half, Missouri ran into a 10-minute stretch when the Wildcats outscored them 13-7 to take a 26-20 lead with 2:18 remaining in the first half.

Missouri hit its fourth 3-pointer of the half with nine seconds remaining to cut Kentucky's lead to 28-25 at the break.

In the second half the Tigers took a 32-31 lead on Dooling's basket with 17:49 left. Kentucky came back on two straight baskets by Prince to reclaim the lead at 35-34 and never trailed again.
