GAME DAY PREVIEW Game time: 9:00pm ET
Pennsylvania (0-0) at Seton Hall (0-0)

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- No. 10 Seton Hall tries to rebound from its first loss of the season tonight when the Pirates host winless Pennsylvania at the Continental Airlines Arena.

Seton Hall (5-1) blew a 21-point halftime lead and suffered its first loss with Saturday's 87-79 overtime defeat at fifth-ranked Illinois. Darius Lane matched a career high with 31 points and freshman Eddie Griffin shook off a sprained right knee and had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Pirates.

Lane is leading Seton Hall with 23.0 points per game. Griffin, a 6-9 native of Philadelphia, is averaging 21.8 points and leads the nation with 13.2 rebounds per game. Griffin had 20 points, eight rebounds and seven blocked shots in Seton Hall's first meeting with a Philadelphia school, a 63-54 win over La Salle at Madison Square Garden.

Pennsylvania (0-6) is hoping to avoid matching the worst start in school history. Lamar Plummer scored 23 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead the Quakers in Saturday's 87-81 loss to No. 19 Maryland. Pennsylvania relies on the 3-pointer, making 55 shots behind the arc on the season.

The Quakers, who have won the last two Ivy League titles, lost their first seven games in the 1984-85 season before an 81-80 victory over Davidson. The Quakers did recover that season and finished 13-14 with an NCAA Tournament bid after winning the Ivy League. The schools have only met one time with Penn winning a 76-74 decision on December 27, 1968.
