After losing four key players from last season's NCAA runner-up squad, it looked as though the Blue Devils would struggle their way into the new millenium. But Coach K has found a Devilish Duo in Shane Battier and Chris Carrawell -- quite possibly the most dangerous forward duo in the college game.

Both can pass and shoot, and both play Devilish D for the Dookies. If freshman point guard Jason Williams can continue to protect the ball and find his Devilish Duo, look for Duke to be around deep into the dance.

(A) Shane Battier (31) is known for his defense, but this season he has stepped up his offensive game, as well. Here, he starts on the elbow and cuts off a Carlos Boozer screen to the strong-side block.
(B) Chris Carrawell (23) has turned into the go-to guy for the Devils, picking up the slack left by the early departures of Elton Brand, William Avery, and Corey Maggette.

(C) Battier (31) posts up inside and draws a lot of attention when he gets the feed from Jason Williams.
(D) But opponents can't afford to give Battier too much attention. Here, he finds Carrawell (23) at the top of the key. Carrawell can drive, shoot, or pass, and the Devils have plenty of scoring options.
