Oklahoma playbook: Horrah for Najera

The Sooners are led by Eduardo Najera, the second-leading scorer and rebounder in the Big 12 Conference. Najera is mainly an inside force, but he can run the floor and finish, too.

Last year, Najera led the 13th-seeded Sooners to the Sweet 16, and there's no reason to believe they won't get at least that far this season. "Hoorah for Najera" might replace "Boomer Sooner" in Norman.

(A) Point guard J.R. Raymond runs the Sooner show, and he begins the action with a pass to backcourt mate Hollis Price (10) and cut to the block.
(B) Eduardo Najera (21) starts at the elbow, and he draws plenty of attention. The 6-foot-8 forward can knock down the jumper to about 15 feet.

(C) Although he's big and strong, Najera (21) gets by with a little help from his friends, and here he gets a screen from Nolan Johnson (5).
(D) Najera gets a little space between him and his defender in the paint, and from there he's as good as gold.
