FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas recruit Andre Iguodala was released from the letter of intent he signed to play basketball for the Razorbacks, Arkansas sports information director Kevin Trainor said Wednesday. Trainor said the 6-foot-6 player cited the school's buyout of coach Nolan Richardson's contract. The Springfield (Ill.) Lanphier High School senior signed with the Razorbacks in the fall, saying he liked the team's style of play. Iguodala helped lead the Illinois Warriors to the AAU national championship last summer. He averaged 13 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.5 steals as a junior. Iguodala is versatile, and he could have played guard or forward at Arkansas.
