The Missouri staff confirmed to ESPN.com that Kareem Rush will announce he'll declare for the draft Wednesday at a news conference, but won't sign with an agent to keep his options open. Rush will go to the Chicago pre-draft camp for the physicals and NBA-sponsored afternoon workouts but will not play in the games from June 5-8. Rush will have a few workouts for NBA teams to watch him. Missouri's staff has told him that if he is in the lottery then he should go in the draft. Rush told ESPN.com throughout the season that he wouldn't stay in the draft if he wasn't a lock for the lottery. NBA scouts have said he's on the bubble of the lottery, which is the first 13 picks of the first round. Rush has until May 12 to officially declare and until June 19 to withdraw from the NBA draft, a week before the event, to return to school. Andy Katz is a senior writer for ESPN.com. |
