WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) _ Brad Wilford threw two touchdown passes and ran for a third to pace Harvard to a 25-17 win over Holy Cross on Saturday.

The Crimson (2-0), which trailed 14-3 after one quarter, fought off a final drive in the last minute by Holy Cross to ensure the win.

Trailing 18-14 at halftime, the Crusaders (2-1) cut the lead to 18-17 in the third quarter on a 39-yard field goal by Frank Traupman. But on the Crusaders' next possession, James Conrow fumbled a lateral on his own 12-yard line, setting up Wilford's decisive 12-yard touchdown run and putting the Crimson on top, 25-17.

On the game's final drive, Holy Cross quarterback Ryan Collar hit Kendy Hall with a 32-yard pass as the Crusaders marched 56 yards to the Harvard 16. But time expired as Hall caught a pass out of the end zone on fourth down.

The Crusaders took their early lead behind the passing and running of Collar, who completed 19 of 35 passes for 210 yards. After Harvard's Mike Giampaolo opened the scoring with a 39-yard field goal, Collar ran an option play in for a 21-yard touchdown. The Crusaders increased their lead to 14-3 when Collar completed a 21-yard touchdown pass to Hall.

The Crimson rebounded in the second quarter on scoring passes of 4 and 41 yards by Wilford, who completed 17 of 29 passes for 202 yards.
