BOX SCORE
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) _ Kofi Shuck caught a career-high seven passes for 139 yards and three touchdowns, and reserve Matt Swanson threw three touchdown passes in Wyoming's 28-13 victory over Idaho on Saturday. Wyoming (3-1) had just 25 rushing yards _ 120 yards below its average entering the game _ but scored 28 second-quarter points. Wyoming's defense forced four turnovers and stopped three of five Idaho fourth-down conversion attempts. The Vandals (2-2) were led by quarterback Greg Robertson, who completed 26 of 58 passes for 302 yards and one touchdown. However, he also threw three interceptions and lost one fumble. Wyoming's 28-point second quarter included three TDs in a span of two minutes and 39 seconds. Alan Jones blocked a punt at the Idaho 19, which led to a 17-yard TD pass from Swanson to Shuck. On Idaho's next possession, Al Rich tipped a pass by Robertson into the hands of cornerback Trent Gamble, who returned the interception 54 yards to the Vandals 1. Shuck scored on the next play on an end run. On Idaho's first play on its ensuing possession, Robertson fumbled after a vicious hit by Jared Jarnagin. Jason Dreessen fell on the ball at the Vandals 1. Three plays later, Swanson rolled right and found Shuck alone in the end zone for an 11-yard score. Earlier in the second quarter, Swanson connected with Wendell Montgomery on a 15-yard TD pass. The score was set up by a 39-yard pass play from Swanson to Shuck. The Vandals' only first-half points came on a 52-yard field goal by Ben Davis in the first quarter. Idaho pulled within 28-13 in the third quarter on an 11-yard TD pass from Robertson to Willie Alderson and another 52-yard field goal by Davis. The Vandals didn't help themselves as they threw an interception, prolonged one Cowboys drive by roughing the punter and failed to convert a fourth-and-1 at the Wyoming 3 with 2:17 left.
