TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Griffin Goldman fired a 49-yard touchdown pass to Delvon Flowers with 23 seconds left as Arizona State rallied for a 28-27 Pac-10 Conference victory over UCLA. The Bruins (2-3, 0-2 Pac-10) grabbed a 27-21 lead with 53 seconds left on a 46-yard field goal by Chris Griffith. But Goodman, who came on to replace an ineffective John Leonard, needed just four plays and 30 seconds to lift the Sun Devils (2-2, 1-1) to their 16th Pac-10 win in the last 17 games. It also took some of the sting of last week's 24-23 loss at California and sent Arizona State into a crucial two-week road trip at Notre Dame and Washington on a positive note. UCLA raced to a 14-0 lead on a 50-yard run by Keith Brown and an 85-yard scoring pass from Cory Paus to Danny Farmer. Arizona State closed to 14-7 on a 32-yard dash to paydirt by J.R. Redmond, but Brown had a two-yard scoring plunge 12 seconds before halftime to restore the 14-point margin. The Sun Devils closed within 24-21 on an 80-yard run by Redmond, who also caught a one-yard flip from Goodman around a 20-yard field goal by Griffith. Goodman completed 8-of-17 passes for 141 yards, while Redmond churned out 185 yards on 23 carries. He entered the game with 293 yards on 63 rushes. Brown had 182 rushing yards for UCLA, which is 0-2 in Pac-10 play for the first time since 1995. Farmer caught six passes for 148 yards after injuries limited him to just three catches for 56 yards entering the contest.
