STORRS, Conn. (AP) _ Senior quarterback Chris Boden broke an Atlantic 10 record with 43 completions Saturday to lead Villanova to a 48-45 triple overtime victory over Connecticut.

Boden completed 43 of 69 attempts for 444 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. His 43rd completion, a 15-yard touchdown pass to tight end Joe Kavanaugh, came after Connecticut had to settle for a 28-yard field goal from place kicker Marc Hickok.

Villanova snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the league. Connecticut (3-2, 2-1) had won three in a row.

Villanova got on the scoreboard first when tailback Duc Augustin scored on a 16-yard run with 4:35 left in the first quarter. The Huskies pulled even at 7-7 when tailback Taber Small scored on an eight-yard run with 12:50 remaining in the second quarter.

The Huskies took a 14-7 lead at halftime when Jordan Younger returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown with 2:27 remaining.

Villanova came back in the third quarter to retake the lead as place kicker Casey Hannon hit from 44 yards to make it 14-10.

Bodin then capped a 14-play, 90-yard drive with a six-yard scoring pass to wide receiver Brian White to give the Wildcats a 17-14 lead.

After a 32-yard field goal by Hannon made it 20-14 Villanova, the Huskies came back with 14 straight points to take a 28-20 lead. Flanker John Fitzsimmons outjumped two Villanova defenders at the goal line on a 48-yard touchdown catch and Small scored after Villanova fumbled at its own 17.

Bodin got Villanova even with 3:59 remaining when he hit Murle Sango touchdown pass and then found tight end Joe Kavanaugh with a two-point conversion.
