GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) _ Romando North scored on a 98-yard kickoff return in the first quarter to spark North Carolina A&T to a 24-13 victory over Delaware State.

The Aggies (8-1, 6-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) fell behind 7-0 after Kevin Hanks scored from 1 yard out with 10:51 left in the first quarter, but North took the ensuing kickoff and rambled into the end zone for a 7-7 tie.

Darren Dawkins added a 24-yard field goal with 4:14 left in the first half for A&T, but the Hornets (3-6, 3-3) took a 13-10 lead in the third quarter on a 9-yard scoring pass from Rahsaan Matthews to Tommie Mims.

A&T took the lead for good with a 13-play, 80-yard scoring driving capped by Eric Framer's 1-yard run with 14:58 left in the game. Quarterback Jason Battle later added a 13-yard touchdown run.

Adrian Parks led the Aggies' ground attack with 93 yards on 18 carries, while Battle completed nine of 17 passes for 123 yards.

Matthews completed 18 of 36 passes for 251 yards for the Hornets, who were held to 75 yards rushing.
