RICHMOND, Va. (AP) _ Todd Bankhead threw for 296 yards and rushed for two touchdowns to lead Massachusetts' Minutemen to a 33-6 victory over Richmond Saturday. Bankhead connected on 17 of his first 20 passes, 10 to Adrian Zullo. Zullo finished with a school record 210 receiving yards and matched the school record of 11 receptions in a game. After a scoreless first quarter, the Minutemen (6-3, 5-1) started from their own 1 early in the second quarter and drove 99 yards for a touchdown. Marcel Shipp scored from the 1-yard line. In the drive, Bankhead connected on seven of eight passes including a 25-yard pass to Zullo and a 21-yard pass to Jimmie Howard. In the second half, Bankhead scored on runs of 28 and 5 yards. The only score by the Spiders ( 5-4, 3-3) was a 4-yard run by Jimmie Miles late in the third quarter. Although both teams are in the Atlantic 10, the contest was designated as an extra game by the conference and was not counted in their conference records.
