NORFOLK, Va. (AP) _ Damien Smith scored the go-ahead touchdown with 9:28 remaining Saturday as Norfolk State came from behind to beat Morgan State 20-16 and pick up its first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory of the year. The Bears (2-6, 0-6) jumped to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by Marc Lester and a 40-yard scoring pass from Lester to Armand Walters. Norfolk State (2-7, 1-6) got on the board with a 21-yard touchdown pass from Theo Harrison to Willie Parker, but the Bears answered with a 40-yard K.C. Vasquez field goal and led 16-6 at halftime. The Spartans scored the only points of the second half _ a 1-yard run by Harrison in the third quarter and Smith's 2-yard go-ahead touchdown in the fourth. Smith's score capped a 10-play, 93-yard drive for the Spartans. Smith led the Spartans with 84 rushing yards. Harrison threw for 155 yards and one touchdown. Keith Warren led the Bears with 56 yards rushing. Lester finished 9-of-18 for 83 yards and a touchdown.
