TROY, Ala. (AP) _ LeBarron Black rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns and Phillip Jones added another 180 rushing yards and a score to lead Troy State to a 27-7 victory over Stephen F. Austin Saturday. The Trojans (9-0, 5-0 Southland Football League) steamrolled Stephen F. Austin (6-3, 5-1) on total offense, rolling up 505 yards to 143 for the Lumberjacks. They also dominated on possession time, 45:33 to 14:27, and first downs, getting 26 compared to 7 for Stephen F. Austin. Troy State led 17-0 at halftime on the strength of touchdowns from Black and Jones and a 24-yard field goal by Lawrence Tynes. In the second half, Stephen F. Austin got its only score on a 15-yard run by Isiah Stoker, aided by a 15-yard penalty against the Trojans and Wes Pate's 49-yard pass to Freddy Lyons. But Black scored again on a 3-yard run, and Tynes added a 31-yard field goal to put Troy State back on top. The Trojans set school records in possession time and number of rushes (73.) Jones' rushing yards were a career high. Quarterback Brock Nutter completed 9 of 14 passes for 115 yards. Lyons caught three passes for 73 yards for Stephen F. Austin, and Pate was 5 for 19 and 75 yards.
