NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Phylesha Whaley scored 19 of her 25 points in the second half as hot-shooting Oklahoma surprised 13th-ranked Texas Tech, 82-76, in a Big 12 Conference matchup.

LaNeishea Caufield and Stacey Dales added 15 points apiece for the Sooners (11-3, 1-0 Big 12), who made 61 percent of their shots from the field (28-of-46), including 64 percent after halftime.

A 10-0 run pulled Texas Tech (11-2, 0-2) within one point midway through the second half but Oklahoma held on for its first victory over a ranked opponent since 1995.

Katrisa O'Neal scored 16 points to lead all five starters in double figures for the Lady Raiders, who dropped their conference opener at Iowa State on Sunday. Aleah Johnson and Plenette Pierson each added 15 points for Texas Tech, which shot 44 percent and forced 25 turnovers.

But the Sooners had a 25-15 advantage at the line.
