Arizona wakes up for easy win

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) -- Tatum Brown scored 18 points and Arizona (No. 18 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP) beat Washington State 83-68 Thursday night.

Arizona (13-2, 2-1 Pac-10) also got 14 points from Lisa Griffith and 12 from Tysell Bozeman.

Alke Dietel led Washington State (3-10, 0-3) with 23 points, while Yvonne Volkman added 17 and Jen Kerns 11.

Washington State went ahead 17-4, but the Wildcats were able to tie the game at 36-36 and Monika Crank's 3-pointer gave them a 39-36 halftime lead.

The Cougars stayed close in the early going of the second half, but Arizona began pulling away. A 9-0 run gave the Wildcats a 73-58 lead with about five minutes left.
