CHESTNUT HILL, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- Alissa Murphy scored 11 of her 13 points in the first half and Cal Bouchard finished with 20 and eight rebounds as 25th-ranked Boston College crushed Providence, 72-52, in a Big East Conference game.

Jamie Cournoyer collected 12 points and eight rebounds and Becky Gottstein finished with 11 and nine for the Eagles (15-3, 4-0 Big East), who took advantage of 25 turnovers to win their 11th straight.

Boston College shot 44 percent (17-of-39) and made four 3-pointers in the first half as it opened a 46-28 advantage and then cruised through the final 20 minutes. The Eagles finished at 37.5 percent (27-of-72) from the field, including 6-of-16 from beyond the arc.

Jen Gombotz had 20 points and eight rebounds for Providence (6-6, 3-2), which shot just 34.5 percent (19-of-55), was outrebounded, 46-38 and lost for the second time in three games.
