PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Alissa Murphy scored 18 of her 22 points in the second half to spark Boston College (No. 22 ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll; No. 20 AP) to its school-record 12th straight victory, 71-58 over Providence on Saturday. Cal Bouchard scored 15 points and Jamie Cournoyer added 14 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high seven blocked shots for the Eagles (16-3, 5-0 Big East). Monika Roberts had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Friars (9-7, 4-3). Providence, defeated a week earlier 72-52 by the Eagles, kept the game close in the first half. Trailing 18-11, the Friars went on a 12-4 run to take their only lead of the game, 23-22. Roberts scored the final eight points of the run. The teams tied four times in the remainder of the first half, with the Eagles taking a 33-30 halftime lead. The Eagles shot just 1-of-11 from 3-point range in the first half, and didn't attempt a single free throw, while the Friars made two of three 3-pointers and connected on 8 of 10 free throws. In the second half, Bouchard and Murphy combined for 28 of the Eagles' 38 points.
