LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (Ticker) -- Erin Buescher had 19 points and 11 rebounds as No. 16 Santa Barbara won its 12th straight game with an 86-65 Big West Conference triumph over New Mexico State.

The Gauchos (17-3, 5-0 Big West-West) never looked back after gaining a 49-32 halftime lead. They shot 46 percent (17-of-37) from the floor in the opening 20 minutes while holding the Aggies (7-11, 2-4 East) to 37 percent (10-of-27).

Buescher was 9-of-16 from the field for Santa Barbara, which shot 53 percent (30-of-57) overall. Stacy Clinesmith and Jessica Hansen scored 15 points apiece and Rachelle Rogers added 13.

Melanie Maynes scored 21 points and Stella Candelaria added 13 for New Mexico State, which suffered its second straight loss and fifth in seven games. The Aggies shot 5-of-15 from 3-point range, committed 27 turnovers and dished out just seven assists.
