RUSTON, La. (AP) -- Louisiana Tech had a nice inside-outside combination in Shaka Massey and Tamicha Jackson.

Massey, working inside, was 7-of-11 from the field, while Jackson went 10-for-14 from the perimeter as Louisiana Tech (No. 3 ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll; No. 2 AP) beat Denver 90-45 Monday night.

With its defense spread out and overmatched, Denver, a newcomer to the Sun Belt Conference, could only hope to chalk up the loss as a learning experience.

"These are the types of games you need to take steps with your program," Denver coach Pam Tanner said. "Tech has a great team and great talent. They can go inside with Massey and then outside with Jackson and Lennox. It makes them very tough to stop."

Jackson finished with 21 points and Massey added 17 as Louisiana Tech (15-2, 6-0) extended its home winning streak to 19 games.

Betty Lennox scored 16 points for Tech, which led 48-24 at halftime, while Takesha Lewis and Catrina Frierson added 10 each.

"When we've got both our inside and outside game going, we're pretty much unstoppable," Massey said.

Michaela Pavlickova led Denver (11-7, 5-3) with 13 points, followed by Melissa Garcia and Bethie Younger with 10 each.

Denver shot only 8-of-28 in the second half, including 1-of-8 from 3-point range, while Tech shot 63 percent for the half and 60 percent for the game.

Denver, now in its second season in Division I, shot 32.7 percent overall from the field and turned the ball over 26 times.

Louisiana Tech, which has won 56 straight regular season conference games, outrebounded Denver 41-25.
