ANN ARBOR, Michigan (Ticker) -- Anne Thorius scored 23 points as Michigan used a big second half to record a 70-59 Big Ten Conference victory over No. 21 Illinois.

Stacey Thomas added 20 points and nine rebounds for the Wolverines, who erased a four-point halftime deficit by outscoring Illinois, 41-26, in the second half. The Fighting Illini shot 30 percent (20-of-57) over the final 20 minutes.

Michigan (15-6, 7-3 Big Ten), which avenged an earlier loss to Illinois this season, shot 50 percent (13-of-26) in the second half and 44 percent overall (25-of-57).

Susan Blauser netted 16 points and Tauja Catchings and Allison Curtin 14 apiece for the Fighting Illini (16-8, 6-4), who held a 41-36 rebounding advantage but committed 21 turnovers.
