MOBILE, Alabama (Ticker) -- Third-ranked Louisiana Tech posted a 77-37 rout over lowly South Alabama as Tamicha Jackson scored 17 points and Betty Lennox added 16 in a Sun Belt Conference matchup.

Cheryl Ford chipped in 14 points off the bench for Louisiana Tech (16-2, 7-0 Sun Belt), which led 46-13 at halftime after South Alabama (5-14, 0-8) shot just 17 percent (4-of-24).

The Lady Techsters shot 51 percent (17-of-33) in the first half en route to their sixth straight win, 15th in 16 games and third in a row by at least 40 points.

The Jaguars suffered their 10th consecutive loss, going 0-of-15 from 3-point range and committing 32 turnovers.

Taneshia Russell scored 15 points for South Alabama, which got a 6-of-35 shooting performance from its five starters. Jessica Webb totaled eight points, 11 rebounds and eight turnovers while going 3-of-13 from the field.
