BOSTON (AP) -- Cal Bouchard hit 6 of 8 3-pointers and finished with 25 points as No. 19 Boston College notched consecutive 20-win seasons with a 72-49 victory over Georgetown on Wednesday. The Eagles (20-6, 9-3 Big East) were 22-8 last season, the first time they had reached 20 wins. Nok Duany led Georgetown with 13 points. The Hoyas (13-10, 6-6) had won six of their last eight games. Alissa Murphy added 14 points and Brianne Stepherson 10 for Boston College, which has won all 12 home games this season. The Eagles have won by an average of 22.6 points at home, and none of the victories have been below double digits. Hoyas' guard Katie Smrcka-Duffy, the Big East's leading scorer, missed her first 12 shots and finished with just five points on 2-for-16 shooting. She entered averaging 18.4 points per game. The Eagles struggled offensively in the game's opening 5½ minutes before using a 15-2 run over a 6:07 stretch to take control. BC, which led 32-17 at halftime, broke it open with a 19-2 run late in the game, pushing to its largest lead, 68-38, on Stepherson's basket with 3:24 to play. The Hoyas never had their deficit below 10 points the entire second half.
