MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Janell Burse scored 34 points and grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds as No. 21 Tulane posted an 87-67 triumph over Conference USA rival Memphis.

Burse nearly singlehandedly defeated the Lady Tigers. She made more free throws (12) than Memphis attempted and her 10 offensive rebounds nearly matched the Lady Tigers entire output (16). She also shot 11-of-15 from the field.

Grace Daley and Sarah Goree scored 17 points apiece for Tulane (23-3, 12-3 C-USA National), which broke open a tight game by shooting 55 percent (16-of-29) in the second half. The Green Wave held a 52-33 advantage on the boards, helping to offset 21 turnovers.

Melissa Abraham made 9-of-11 shots en route to 19 points, and added 11 rebounds for Memphis (15-10, 9-5), which fell 2 1/2 games behind Tulane in the division. The Lady Tigers made just 3-of-16 3-point attempts.
