CORVALLIS, Oregon (Ticker) -- Resurgent Oregon State continued its climb up the Pac-10 Conference standings with a 72-52 upset of 22nd-ranked UCLA as Sissel Pierce had 21 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots in her final home game. Pierce was 10-of-16 from the field, helping the Beavers shoot 46 percent (24-of-52). They have won 10 of their last 13 games to move into fourth place in the league, 1 1/2 games behind first-place Stanford. Felicia Ragland added 14 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and five rebounds and Cherrith Wiersma chipped in 11 points and seven boards for Oregon State (14-13, 10-5 Pac-10). Chassie Wiersma's 3-pointer with 8:22 remaining put the Beavers ahead for good, 47-45. Maylana Martin, Janae Hubbard, Carly Funicello and Nicole Kaczmarski scored eight points apiece for UCLA (15-9, 9-5). The Bruins had won the last eight meetings in the series but shot under 35 percent (18-of-52) and were outrebounded, 40-28.
