GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Missy West scored 18 points as Duke (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 12 AP) advanced to within a victory of its first Atlantic Coast Conference tournament title by defeating Georgia Tech 77-56 on Sunday.

The Blue Devils (25-5) shot 54 percent and forced 16 turnovers on the way to their 14th consecutive victory over Georgia Tech.

Duke, the No. 2 seed, will meet fifth-seeded North Carolina in Monday night's championship game. The two teams lack the rich ACC tournament tradition of their men's counterparts, having met just once before for the league title, with North Carolina winning in 1995.

The Blue Devils, who will be making their third appearance in the championship contest, also got 12 points from Michele Matyasovsky and 14 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists from Lauren Rice. She nearly became the first player to record a triple double in the ACC tournament since 1980.

Georgia Tech (15-13) fell short in its bid for its second berth in the ACC title game. Candice McCallum led the Yellow Jackets with 12 points and Amy Lingenfelder had 10.

The sixth-seeded Yellow Jackets couldn't duplicate their strong performance of a day earlier, when they rallied in the second half for a victory over No. 15 North Carolina State.

Georgia Tech cut a 21-point halftime deficit to 44-29 with 15:54 remaining before the Blue Devils began gradually pulling away.

Duke pushed its lead as high as 25.
