LUBBOCK, Texas (Ticker) -- Aleah Johnson scored 21 points on 10-of-11 shooting in just 15 minutes as 17th-ranked Texas Tech cruised to a 102-44 rout of Southwest Texas State. The Lady Raiders (3-0) raced to a 53-17 halftime lead with Johnson scoring 13 points and Plenette Pierson adding 11. Texas Tech shot 54 percent (22-of-41) from the floor while holding Southwest Texas State to just 23 percent (6-of-26). The Bobcats (2-1) did not make a basket in the final 7:43 of the opening half. Pierson hit a jumper with 9:05 left in the contest to give Texas Tech its biggest lead, 89-26. It was the fewest points for a Lady Raiders' opponent since James Madison managed 38 on December 21, 1998. Pierson scored 20 points, Tanisha Ellison added 12 and Keitha Dickerson had 11 and 11 rebounds for Texas Tech, which had no starter play more than 24 minutes. The Lady Raiders shot 53 percent (41-of-77) overall while holding the Bobcats to 26 percent (14-of-55). Texas Tech also held a 56-34 rebounding advantage. Amber Morrow led the Bobcats with 11 points and seven rebounds.
