EUGENE, Oregon (Ticker) -- Brianne Meharry scored eight of her 13 points during a 15-3 run early in the first half as 14th-ranked Oregon built a 17-point advantage at the break and crushed Portland State, 79-42. Angelina Wolvert added 14 points and nine rebounds and Shaquala Williams netted 10 points for the Ducks (7-2), who held a 36-19 halftime lead and and never allowed Portland State (2-7) any closer over the final 20 minutes. Portland State shot a meager 18 percent (11-of-60) from the field, including 4-of-22 from 3-point range. Jamie Craighead scored five points during the run as Oregon turned a 6-5 advantage into a 21-8 bulge on Wolvert's jumper with just over nine minutes left before the break. Meharry went 4-of-4 from the foul line and drained two jumpers during the burst. The Ducks connected on 55 percent (29-of-53) and held a 46-37 advantage on the boards. They overcame 16 turnovers and went 18-of-25 from the foul line in snapping a two-game losing streak. Shannon Spies and Karrin Wilson scored 10 points apiece for Portland State, which was 16-of-29 from the foul line and committed 14 turnovers.
