LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Julie Hagood made two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to lead Arkansas State to a 72-70 win over Kansas (No. 21 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP) on Tuesday night. Hagood scored a game-high 26 points, including 9-of-10 free throws, for Arkansas State (9-1). The Lady Indians beat the Jayhawks last season 65-61 in Jonesboro, Ark. Lynn Pride led Kansas (7-3) with 21 points on 9-of-21 shooting. Pride, who fouled Hagood in the closing seconds, also had 11 rebounds and five assists. Arkansas State trailed 30-29 at halftime and by as many as nine points in the second half. However the Lady Indians outrebounded the Jayhawks 48-38 for the game and had 19 second-chance points. Tanisha Johnson added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Lady Indians. Brooke Reves had 18 points for the Jayhawks.
